Facing the Light

I have had this figure ever since I could remember. Over the years of my childhood parts of its body fell off, including the original stand. This photograph is an experimentation with light, which I intend to be doing more of for a change, instead of the dark and mysterious pictures I have taken in the past.

Great contrast what program are you using to convert to b&w? May I suggest Picnik it is a great program online-lots of fun stuff to play around with. Check it out.

A bittersweet study of childhood now appreciated by the young man.
Are you using that program to switch to B&W, or are you shooting them that way originally?
I've not heard of iPhoto or Picnik. I looked into Photoshop and it scared me to death! So I'm not doing anything with my photos except the occasional crop and auto correct before I publish them.
