New Mexican Sun

This is a stone sun my family bought on a trip to New Mexico when I was a child. We found it in an old pottery shop off the beaten track. I remember it was a large wooden shack surrounded by pots and statues, and if you looked past the clutter of pottery, a beautiful New Mexican landscape brought a feast for the eyes. At last, in reflection of that beautiful state, the stone sun hangs up on a wall in the pantry.

Along with visual reminders (photos), I like to bring home mementos to commemorate a trip, just like your sun. Although I'm sort of cheap so I opt for postcards!
